A Joint Development Authority for the counties of Baldwin and Wilkinson
LEARN MORE

Purpose

Welcome to the Fall Line Regional Development Authority. Since 2000, members of the development authorities of Baldwin and Wilkinson County have worked to be prepared for the intersection of major US Highway 441 and the east-west connector, the Fall Line Freeway. Part of that preparation was the creation of a joint development authority between the two counties – the Fall Line Regional Development Authority.

In 2014, the Authority purchased 477 acres at the intersection with the intention of building an industrial park. The logistics advantage of locating at the intersection of US 441 (the alternative to Interstates 75, 85 and 95) and the Fall Line Freeway (the alternative to Interstate 20) provides the perfect location from the near geographic center of the state, to get anywhere in the southeast quickly.
